70th Anglers’ Meet and Angling Contest on November 9-10

Dharamsala, October 21, 2013: Himachal Angling Association in collaboration with the Departments of Fisheries & Tourism, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh is holding the 70th Anglers’ Meet-cum-Angling Contest in Maharana Partap Sagar (Pong Reservoir), Sansarpur Terrace, District Kangra, on November 9 and 10.  
This was announced at Dharamsala late on Monday night by KB Ralhan, Secretary General (HAA).
He said, “There will be an Open Angling Contest from 6am to 11.30 am on November 10, followed by a brain storming session to finalise the recommendations for conservation of fisheries wealth of the reservoir and promotion of tourism through sport fishing.”
All anglers are required to register themselves on arrival. Registration of the participants shall be done November 9 in the afternoon at Pong Dam. This will be followed by a General House Meeting of the association to brief the participants about the Angling rules and activities of the Association, added Ralhan.
He said that Anglers will be issued fishing license by the representative of the Fisheries Department at the time of registration. www.cityairnews.com
