72nd Republic Day celebrated in Ferozepur District 

Ferozepur: The 72nd Republic Day of India was celebrated in the Ferozepur District with lot of patriotic fervour and gaiety at Shahid Bhagat Singh Stadium where Ajaib Singh Bhatti (Deputy Speaker Punjab Legislative Assembly) unfurled the National Flag. The occasion was marked by honouring of 12 students from State Government Engineering College of this Ferozepur District "Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus" in the Office of District Bureau of Employment Generation and Enterprises, Ferozepur who got placement in blue chip MNC companies. The students honoured during this occasion were Aryan Daftari (Infosys limited); Gagandeep Kaur (MAQ Software); Garvit Kushwaha (Ubxty Unboxing Tech); Harshita Singh (Infosys Ltd and TCS); Mohit Lamba (TCS); Pawanpreet Kaur (TCS); Shaifali (TCS); Sohit Kumar Patel    (Ubxty Unboxing Tech); Somya Sharma (Infosys Limited); Sukhjeevan Singh    (Camp K12, Lido Learning & Swiflearn); Pintu Kumar (KML Seating); Vishwajeet Kumar Tiwari (FIEM Industries Ltd.). Notably, many students from this institute who were out of station and travel restrictions due to pandemic were left out.

"It was for the first time that this kind of initiative has been taken by the Government which we wish to be an annual feature for honouring and encouraging the placed students of this reputed institute", Dr T. S. Sidhu Campus Director said. He lauded the efforts of Training and Placement Cell for making all out efforts for placing students in top multinationals during the campus placements. He specially thanked Sh. Ashok Jindal, District Employment Officer and Sh. Gurjant Singh, TPO for rewarding the hard efforts of placed students and encouraging their juniors to tread the path of hard work and success.

Dr. Gazal Preet Arneja, Dr. Kamal Khanna and Mr. Inderjeet Singh Gill from Training and Placement Cell insisted that the graduates should focus on developing Communication and Soft Skills and exhibit their inherent talents and capabilities along with their knowledge to shoulder the challenges they face in the competitive world.

Gagandeep Kaur a passed-out student of B Tech CSE (2020 batch) who got placed in six Multinational blue-chip companies namely Infosys, Wipro, MAQ Solutions, NIIT, TCS and Cognizant Technology Solutions thanked the Placement Cell for excellent placement results of SBS Campus and taking care of all the training needs and recruitment processes for students.
