76th Republic Day - Governor Gulab Chand Kataria inaugurates Know Your Army Event
On the occasion of 76th Republic Day, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria also inaugurated the 'Know Your Army' event at the PAU grounds on Sunday, showcasing various army equipment, including displayed vehicles and grenades.
Ludhiana, January 26,2025: On the occasion of 76th Republic Day, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria also inaugurated the 'Know Your Army' event at the PAU grounds on Sunday, showcasing various army equipment, including displayed vehicles and grenades.
The event was attended by Chief Secretary KAP Sinha, DGP Gaurav Yadav, Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal, Commissioner of Police Kuldeep Singh Chahal, and other notable guests.
The Governor explained that the event highlighted the Army’s advanced military technologies, including armored vehicles, artillery systems, small arms, air defense weapons, and surveillance equipment. He mentioned that visitors gained valuable insights into the modernization efforts of the Indian Army and its strategic use of cutting-edge technology in national defense. The exhibition was open to the public, providing a unique opportunity to interact with military personnel and explore the Army’s capabilities in a hands-on environment.
Governor Gulab Chand Kataria also praised the Indian Army and the Ludhiana administration for their efforts in organizing this event.
Speaking on the occasion, Lt Gen Ajay Chandpuria, AVSM, VSM, GOC Vajra Corps, commended the organizers, stating, ‘This remarkable event stands as a powerful symbol of the unshakeable bond between the Indian Army and the people it serves. There was enthusiastic participation from the youth, school children, NCC cadets, civil dignitaries, ex-servicemen, and thousands of citizens.
