Sonipat, August 16, 2024. The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm, joy and patriotic spirit at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya on August 15.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudesh hoisted the tricolor in the university campus and took the salute of the march past conducted by the NCC cadets and NSS volunteers. VC Prof. Sudesh paid her respects to the martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the independence of India.
VC Prof. Sudesh said that we all have to contribute together to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of ' Viksit Bharat@ 2047'. She called upon students to act as an environmental protector to deal with the growing environmental challenges at the global level. She said that today India has emerged as the fifth largest economy in the world. Our country is a global leader in various fields including defense, health care, education and technology. She described the role of teachers as very important in the development of the country.
The wonderful patriotic presentations like dance, song, music, Haryanvi dance and yoga presentation captivated the people present. Dean Academic Affairs Prof Sanket Vij, Officiating Registrar Prof Shweta Singh, Kamala Rani, Deans of various faculties, Heads of Departments, faculty members, Non-Teaching Staff, Parents and Students participated in this program.
