7th Prativaad – An annual inter school virtual contest at GNA University

Jalandhar: Prativaad- an Inter School Contest, one of the greatest events was organized at GNA University for 2 days November 3 & 4, 2020 in the virtual mode. The first day of the grand event on November 3, 2020 not only focused on bringing forth the young talent but also nurturing and developing competitive spirit among the students. Despite the on-going pandemic, Prativaad bagged wonderful response  from various schools from all over Punjab who participated in different competitions like Blossom Buds, Character Design, Photography, Design 'O' Pedia, AD-Mad Show, Gam Jam, Codifica, Tech Jugaad, Voice of Doaba, Dance Star of Doaba, Blog Post, Develop Your Own Vehicle, Young Chef, Business Quiz and Play with Spreadsheet. 

The second day of the Prativaad 2020 was graced by the benign presence of S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro- Chancellor, GNA University as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest congratulated the young students who appeared online to grab the opportunity to meet and compete with their peers. He also ensured that GNA University focuses to encourage the young talent so that they can enrich their profile and become employable along with increasing their competency and confidence. He stressed that champions are made by strong vision, determination, persistence, skill and will.  He also expressed his delight in witnessing the talent among the budding participants from all over the Punjab and remarked, “GNA University is always striving for excellence and will always offer his best in producing future leaders.”

The event was witnessed by worthy jury members for all the events and the worthy teachers, who had accompanied the students from their respective schools on the virtual platform. There was a tough competition seen amongst the participants participating in the events in an online mode. The participants of this annual event Prativaad were deeply thankful to S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro-Chancellor, GNA University for providing them an opportunity to be a part of such a gala show of cultural and academic events at one platform, despite the unprecedented times.    

Overall, there were 15 events with a cash prize of Rs 5100/- , second of Rs 3100/- and third Prize of Rs 2100/- was secured by the schools in the various events.

Tech Jugaad- Kamla Nehru School, Phagwara
Voice of Doaba- S.D Model Sr. Sec School Phagwara
Dance Star of Doaba- Divine Public School, Phagwara
Blog Post- BSF SSS, Jalandhar
Develop Your Own Vehicle- Govt. Sen. Sec. School Nawansher 
Young Chef- Kamla Nehru Public School, Phagwara
Business Quiz- MD Dayanand School
Play with Spreadsheet- British Olivia School, Jalandhar
