Ghuman (Gurdaspur), April 5, 2015: The 88th Marathi Literary Fest, being held at Shiromani Bhagat Namdev Ji’s land of meditation in village Ghuman, today witnessed a kavi darbar held on the concluding day.
Former president Sahit Mahamandal Maharashtra Dr Usha Tambe was present at the chief guest at event, while Sarvshree Uday Kangre and Deepak Kandeekar were especially present at the event. Marathi literature admirers too were present in a large number at the event.
Speaking at the event Dr Usha Tambe stated that the main motive of kavi darbar was to encourage new poets. She added that apart from 70 new poets, 70 established poets too are participating in this event. The poets read out poems in varied subjects at the kavi darbar.
She said that the poets Kamlakar Gosle, Ashok Mali, Balaji Ingle, Sudhanshu Marathe, KK Deshpande, Prema Kulkarni, Madho Oujari, Kranti Maudev, Vidya Sagar Gwani, Prof Neelima Ahir, Anand Rao Patil, Anand Joshi, Mandakini Godbole, Abhijeet, Anil Pipe and others participated in the event. She said that the Sri Namdev Darbar Committee gave great support in making the entire event a success. Vidya Deodar was the stage convener.
