9-point agenda sacrosanct, declares Capt Amarinder

Says SAD, AAP cheating, misleading people with lies, frauds
Chandigarh, December 27, 2016: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Captain Amarinder Singh has trashed the statements of SAD and AAP describing his 9-point agenda as a fraud on the people of Punjab, saying they were the ones who were indulging in cheating the state with their false promises and tall claims.

Reacting strongly to the charges of the Badals that his 9-point agenda was a bundle of lies, Captain Amarinder said he was committed to fulfilling every single promise made to the people and would do everything in his power to alleviate their sufferings and bring the smiles back on their faces. His agenda, said Captain Amarinder, was sacrosanct and uncompromisable and a critical part of the Congress election manifesto.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday , Captain Amarinder flayed the Badal father-son duo for trying to befool the people with their misleading propaganda against the Congress, saying their falsehoods and lies will not help them woo the people whose lives had been destroyed by the Badals.

The PPCC president said it was the policy of Akali Dal and also of Arvind Kejriwal and his AAP to retract from their promises and befool the people to promote their own vested interests.

Captain Amarinder came down heavily on the Badals, charging them with playing with the sentiments of the people by making false promises, which they never fulfilled, and by making baseless allegations against the Congress.

Captain Amarinder said he was totally committed to meeting the aspirations of the people of Punjab, with his 9-point point agenda a comprehensive development plank to ensure the same. His government, said Captain Amarinder, would work hard to implement the agenda in totality, without any deviation.

Captain Amarinder asserted that he would ensure that all the problems being faced by the people, who had been suffering from the past one decade due to the misrule of the Badals, are addressed once the Congress comes to power in Punjab.

The Badals, said Captain Amarinder, had failed to fulfill any of the promises made to the people in the past 10 years and were now trying desperately to cover up their failures by making false and baseless allegations against him. They will not, however, succeed in their malicious agenda and will be thrown out of the state by the people, he added.

Captain Amarinder pointed out that he had never defaulted on any of his promises and will ensure that he and his government executes all the promises listed in his 9-point agenda without delay and on priority basis once he is in power after the Assembly polls.

Captain Amarinder once again warned both the SAD and AAP to stop misleading the people with their disinformation campaign, which they had been pursuing in a desperate bid to counter the growing public support in favour of the Congress.
