A central team appreciated local `Apni Hatti’ concept of Himachal
Himachal Pradesh Industries Department organized a meeting at Dharamsala today in which 17 selected start-ups of Himachal Pradesh participated.
Dharamsala, June 15, 2022: Himachal Pradesh Industries Department organized a meeting at Dharamsala today in which 17 selected start-ups of Himachal Pradesh participated.
Anurag Jain, Secretary, Department of Industry Promotion and Internal Trade, Government of India, interacted with each start-up in this meet and highly appreciated the idea of Apni Hatti and promised to give the concept, all possible help in future.
Informing about the concept, Rakesh Prajapati, Director, Industries Department, Himachal Pradesh said, “It was launched on 31st January 2022 by District Collector Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal through an online event. Apni Hatti is incubated from IIT Mandi.
This startup has been recognized by Himachal Pradesh, it is an online marketplace run only by the people of Himachal Pradesh. The products made by local artists are made available online including Chamba Thal, Chamba Chukh, different medicines, shawls and Himachali clothes and other such products . There are More than 300 Himachali items made available on this platform.”
District Collector Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal informed that www.apneehatti.com is an online marketplace for products manufactured in Himachal. The main objective of Apni Hatti is to provide employment to the people of Himachal and to make the products of local artisans available all over India.
This company is fulfilling the objective of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's Vocal for Local.
In the meeting by Anurag Jain, Secretary Udyog Sadan and Department of Internal Trade, Government of India, Shri Rakesh Prajapati Director and Deepika Rana, Joint Director, Industries Department, Himachal Pradesh and others participated.
