A Night of Inspiration and Celebrating Women at Fairmont Jaipur

Fairmont Jaipur, the luxurious property located in the pink city, was honoured to be the venue partner for a remarkable celebration of women's achievements, with a panel discussion and awards ceremony organized by The Indian Council for UN Relations(ICUNR), Something Creative, Le Magnifique Group, Heights Fashion Institute, and Academy of Wedding Planning & Event Management(AWPEM).

Fairmont Jaipur, the luxurious property located in the pink city, was honoured to be the venue partner for a remarkable celebration of women's achievements, with a panel discussion and awards ceremony organized by The Indian Council for UN Relations(ICUNR), Something Creative, Le Magnifique Group, Heights Fashion Institute, and Academy of Wedding Planning & Event Management(AWPEM).  

The guests were greeted by Rajiv Kapoor, the General Manager of Fairmont Jaipur and Leher Sethi, Secretary – ICUNR & Founder – Something Creative delivered the UN General Secretary General’s address. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests such as Dr. Krishna Kant Pathak Secretary – Finance, Government of Rajasthan, and Himmat Singh Panwar, Consultant & Facilitator, Rajasthan Khadi & Village Industries Board (Government of Rajasthan).  

The panel discussion, moderated by Naini Jain, highlighted the challenges of ensuring women's safety and the need for collaboration between civil society and government agencies. Furthermore, outstanding women achievers from diverse fields were recognized and awarded.  

The awardees of the ICUNR International Women’s Day Awards 2022-23 were- Jui Sharma for Hospitality, Dr. Alka Gaur for Dentistry, Anjali Gupta for Fashion Designing, Dr. Anamika Sharma for Social Activism and many more successful women who have made significant contributions in their respective fields. 

On this Occasion, Rajiv Kapoor, General Manager, Fairmont Jaipur, said “The purpose of International Women's Day is not limited to celebrating women for just one day, but to create a world where women are treated equally and empowered every day. It's essential to acknowledge that we all have a responsibility in building a fairer and more equitable world for future generations. We must all work together to empower women and girls, and ensure that they have access to education, healthcare, and equal opportunities in all areas of Life.” 

Meanwhile, Leher Sethi, Secretary of The Indian Council for UN Relations, said, “We need to keep talking about the need for equality while celebrating the accomplishments of the amazing and empowered women all around us, because while it is important to celebrate the distance we have covered, it is also important to remind ourselves of how far we still need to go”. 

Neeraj Kumar, Le Magnifique Group said, “Women are the strongest and most beautiful souls on earth, juggling their responsibilities immaculately at home and at work. Here’s wishing all a very Happy Women’s Day 2023”. 

Adding to that, Deepak Gupta of Heights Fashion Institute & Academy of Wedding Planning & Event Management emphasized “It's an occasion where women are recognized and celebrated in their fields. These women have a fierce and robust spirit, which makes them excel in their respective areas. They deserve all the love and support that the world gives them on this occasion. The contribution of women in every sphere of life is massive.”
