A special camp for students to get them driving license next month: MLA
Says, the move would aim at promoting a sense of safe driving and abidance of traffic rules among youths
Ferozepur: In a unique initiative to promote a sense of safe driving and abidance of traffic rules in the young generation, a special camp would be organized in Ferozepur to issue driving licenses to youths aging 16 to 25 years.
Divulging more, MLA Parminder Singh Pinki, on whose efforts this camp is going to be organized said that in the first week of March, this special camp would be organized in Ferozepur.
He further added that it was need of the hour to instill an attitude towards road safety and traffic rules in the young generation and this camp will work as a catalyst in achieving this goal.
The MLA said that road accidents and accidental deaths are rampant in the country and it can only be addressed through proper education and awareness. He said that once the students have the driving license in their hands, they will able to understand the imperative of road safety and traffic rules.
The MLA said that the young generation has the great potential of the nation building but they need to channelize their energy in the positive direction adding he said that the first-ever camp for issuing the driving license to youth would help them understand the responsibility of safe driving. He said that besides organizing the camp, the officials of the transport department and traffic police would aware of the applicants regarding the importance of safe driving and abidance of traffic rules.
