A Wall-Magazine at Post Graduate Punjabi Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College
Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is constantly ready for the all-round development of its students. Along with academic studies, students achieve high in sports, cultural and literary fields. With the purpose of promoting literary interests among the students and conveying their works to other students, a wall magazine was started by the Post Graduate Department of Punjabi of the college, which was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh and Dr. Surinder Pal Mand, Head Department of Punjabi in the presence of teachers and students.
Jalandhar, March 1, 2024: Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is constantly ready for the all-round development of its students. With the purpose of promoting literary interests among the students and conveying their works to other students, a wall magazine was started by the Post Graduate Department of Punjabi of the college, which was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh and Dr. Surinder Pal Mand, Head Department of Punjabi in the presence of teachers and students.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated all the teachers and students at the launch of this wall paper. He said that the Wall-Magazine is a unique initiative of the Punjabi department because students can read the literary works of the students while visiting the Wall-Magazine. He inspired the students to write literary works, publish and develop this art.
Dr. Surinder Pal Mand, HOD, said that the department organizes poetry, story and essay writing competitions from time to time in order to promote the art of literary writing among the students. He also said that high quality works are published in the college magazine Beas and every year the best student writer is also selected.
On this occasion, the teachers of the department Dr. Harjinder Singh, Dr. Sukhdev Singh Nagra, Prof. Kuldip Sodhi, Prof. Sandeep Kaur and Prof. Gurmukh Singh apart from MA Punjabi's Lovepreet Kaur, Sunita, Manpreet Kaur and other students were also present.
