AAP’s Five Guarantees for Amritsar

100 Electric Buses to Make Amritsar Pollution-Free

Aman Arora announced that 100 electric buses would be introduced to make Amritsar pollution-free. Depots and charging stations will be set up to ensure proper operation of these buses. Large parking lots will also be developed, with 5 acres of land in Jahajgarh already earmarked for parking infrastructure. Additionally, the Saragarhi parking facility will be expanded. These measures aim to provide convenience to residents and especially tourists. He emphasized the goal of transforming Amritsar into a "Clean and Green" city.

Clean Drinking Water for Every Household

Arora stated that clean drinking water is a basic right, and AAP will ensure 100% clean and uninterrupted water supply across Amritsar. Plans will also be developed to conserve groundwater resources to tackle future water scarcity challenges.

“The long-standing issue of the Tung Bhai Bala drain will also be resolved as a priority,” he added.

₹100 Crore Sewage Treatment Plant with a 50 MLD Capacity

To address sewage issues, Aman Arora announced the construction of a ₹100 crore Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) with a capacity of 50 MLD in Amritsar. He assured that a comprehensive plan has been prepared to prevent future sewage problems in the city, promising a permanent solution to this issue.

Affordable Housing for the Poor

For economically weaker sections, the AAP has promised affordable housing. Aman Arora stated that efforts would be made to expand the boundaries of municipal and government colonies under the Amritsar Improvement Trust to ensure low-cost housing for the poor.

Arora said that these guarantees are not mere election promises but firm commitments to the people of Amritsar. “Our guarantees have been designed based on consultations with experts, feedback from party workers, and extensive input from the public. The aim is to provide permanent solutions to the basic issues faced by cities,” he said.

He added that AAP's track record in delivering on its promises in Delhi and Punjab demonstrates its reliability. Once the AAP Mayor takes charge, work on these guarantees will begin immediately.

Arora expressed confidence in AAP's success in the municipal elections across all wards, citing strong enthusiasm and support for the party among the public. He claimed, “The overwhelming response from people is a clear indication that AAP will secure a significant victory and form its Mayor in Amritsar and other municipal corporations and councils.”

Highlighting the public's support, Arora noted that over 5,000 applications were received for 977 ward councilor seats, showcasing the party’s growing popularity and public confidence.
