AAP celebrates landslide victory in Jalandhar west

Jalandhar, July 13, 2024: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has registered a landslide and historic victory in Jalandhar west by-poll on Saturday. Party's candidate and now newly elected MLA Mohinder Bhagat and senior leaders of the AAP celebrated this victory with the people of Jalandhar west and took out a road show to thank the people.

Cabinet minister Aman Arora and Brahm Shanker Jimpa, MP Raj Kumar Chabbewal and AAP's Lok Sabha candidate from Jalandhar Pawan Kumar Tinu also joined the road show and then addressed the media to thank the volunteers and voters of Jalandhar west.

Addressing the media, cabinet minister Aman Arora congratulated Mohinder Bhagat and the volunteers of the AAP for this landslide victory. He said that the people of Jalandhar west have gifted such a big mandate to the AAP that he cannot find enough words to thank them. He said that this is the victory of the hardwork of the AAP leaders and volunteers. He said that people have chosen the development and honesty above lies and drama. 

Arora said that this mandate is a message to all the other political parties in Punjab. He said that the Congress was too over-confident after their win in Jalandhar in Lok Sabha elections. He said that the people have clearly indicated that the assembly and Lok Sabha elections are different. He said that this result is a message to the BJP and Sheetal Angural as well. He said that the BJP only won two seats in 2022 assembly elections but they didn't even manage a single seat in Lok Sabha elections in Punjab. Arora said that no matter how many MLAs the BJP tries to poach in Punjab, the people of Punjab are with the AAP and CM Bhagwant Mann. 

Arora said that the Mann government is taking revolutionary steps in the field of education and health, corruption has been curved, people are getting free electricity etc., so this is the victory of the politics of work in Punjab. He said that the party will register a landslide victory in Panchayat and local bodies' election too. 

Thanking the voters of Jalandhar west, MLA Mohinder Bhagat said that it is the victory of the works of the Mann government. He said that such a big mandate means that the people like the working style of the Mann government. He urged all the leaders to come together and improve the Jalandhar west constituency. He said that because of mismanagement and negligence of many areas in Jalandhar west, this constituency became the most unsafe area in Jalandhar. He said that like promised the AAP government will make it the best and most safe area of Jalandhar. He also thanked the workers and volunteers of the AAP who ensured this one sided win.

Addressing the media, MP Raj Kumar Chabbewal congratulated party supremo Arvind Kejriwal, Dr Sandeep Pathak, CM Bhagwant Mann and the party leaders and supporters. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party fielded an honest candidate and the Mann government has been working really hard for the common people since its formation. These two factors played a vital role in the victory of the AAP candidate. Chabbewal and Aman Arora also said that the residence of CM Bhagwant Mann in Jalandhar also favoured the party in this election. Dr Chabbewal said that this victory will be like a catalyst for the AAP cadre and party's volunteers will work with renewed confidence and encouragement. 

Cabinet Minister Brahm Shanker Jimpa said that the people of Jalandhar west have elected an honest and gentle candidate. He said that the people have defeated the negativity of the previous MLA Sheetal Angural. He said that this victory is also a proof that the people know the truth and they are with the AAP and CM Bhagwant Mann. 

AAP's Lok Sabha candidate and former MLA Pawan Kumar Tinu also addressed the media and promised that the party will live up to the expectations of the people of Jalandhar west. He said that for the last seven years, Jalandhar west was developing negatively as a focal point for illegal activities but that is about to change now. He said that the AAP unitedly fought this election against the corrupt and liars. He also thanked and congratulated the voters for electing an honest representative.
