'AAP' condemns attack on hindu temple in Canada, calls for Indian Government to discuss matter with Canada

Chandigarh, November 4, 2024: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly condemned the attack on a Hindu temple in Brampton, Canada, by members of a pro-Khalistani organization. AAP leader and Punjab government minister Aman Arora stated that the entire Punjab is shocked by this incident and that it deserves the utmost condemnation.

Arora said that Punjab is a secular state and that violence based on religion is not part of its culture. He noted that even during the dark days of terrorism in the 1980s and 90s, there was no violence on religious grounds. Hindus and Sikhs in Punjab live together like family and have coexisted peacefully.

He stated that Punjab is known for its brotherhood and social harmony, and people from all communities are upset by this incident. He urged the Indian government to raise this issue with the Canadian government and to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
