AAP Hold Two-Wheeler Rally On Labour Day

Ludhiana, May 1, 2016: Aam Aadmi Party Ludhiana Zone today organized a huge Scooter/ Motorcycle rally in Ludhiana East Constituency to create awareness among the labour about their rights, in which more than 800 AAP volunteers participated holding placards with slogans relating to the labour day. Central Ludhiana Zone Observer Amrish Trikha and Zone Coordinator Col.C M Lakhanpal flaged off the rally from Dana Mandi near Jallandhar Bye-Pass. They also inaugurated a free Medical Check-up Camp organized by AAP volunteers at Dana Mandi, in which more than 300 patients were examined for Hepatitis-B, Hepatitis-C, Sugar, and other ailments.
Before flagging off the rally, addressing the participants Col Lakhanpal said that the laborers were the backbone of the society, who facing a lot of hardships were making major contribution in the development process of the country. He stressed upon the need completely revamp the corrupt governing system to ensure the equal opportunities to the weaker sections. Col Lakhanpal strongly criticised the successive governments for completely ignoring the social and economic growth of weaker sections, which had shattered their confidence in the system. He asserted that if AAP government formed in Punjab after 2017 Vidhan Sabha elections, concrete planes would be chalked out for the all round development of this deprived sections of the society. Col Lakhanpal exhorted the AAP volunteers to further spread the message of Arvind Kejriwal of changing the traditional political system up to each and every house in the state. He informed that the party was going to speed up the social and political activities in coming days.
The rally passing through the different parts of Ludhiana East constituency concluded at Gol Market, Jamalpur on Chandigarh road.
