AAP lambasts SAD - Party of one family, needs to change the engine
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has responded sharply to the comments of Shiromani Akali Dal Badal's chief spokesperson Arshdeep Singh Kaler regarding cabinet expansion.
Chandigarh, September 23, 2024: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has responded sharply to the comments of Shiromani Akali Dal Badal's chief spokesperson Arshdeep Singh Kaler regarding cabinet expansion.
AAP Punjab leader and senior spokesperson Neel Garg stated that both the "coach and engine" of the party are perfectly fine, suggesting that AAP is not the train of any one family. He emphasised that the engine and coaches of the AAP are elected by the three crore people of Punjab.
Garg highlighted that the AAP government has taken decisive action against various mafias in Punjab, continuously targeting the gangsters who thrived during the Akali government's tenure. He noted the government's efforts in curbing drug smuggling, providing government jobs to thousands of youth, building mohalla clinics for public healthcare, and improving government schools for children's education.
He further asserted that the Akali Dal needs to change its leadership, which has transformed from a party representing Punjab and its interests to one dominated by a single family. Garg advised Kaler to liberate his party from the Badal family's control before criticizing others.
He concluded by stating that the current state of the Akali Dal is such that it struggles to form an 11-member committee. The Badal family has not only damaged the party but also harmed Punjab, encouraging drug smuggling and creating gangsters for their personal gain—consequences that Punjab continues to face till date.
