AAP MP from Punjab Sanjeev Arora has performed well in attending monsoon session of the Rajya Sabha. His tenure as a Rajya Sabha Member had started from April 10, 2022 onwards. And, in his first session as the Rajya Sabha Member his attendance was 15 out of 16.
Ludhiana, August 13, 2022: AAP MP from Punjab Sanjeev Arora has performed well in attending monsoon session of the Rajya Sabha. His tenure as a Rajya Sabha Member had started from April 10, 2022 onwards. And, in his first session as the Rajya Sabha Member his attendance was 15 out of 16.
Arora asked a total of 29 questions related to various Ministries including Agricultural, Housing and Urban Development, Civil Aviation, Railways, Skill Development, Commerce, Industry and Textiles. These questions were related to public interest and public welfare such as when does government estimate that it will achieve its target to double farmers' income in every state, what is the present increase in farmers' income from the base year and what steps have been taken by the Railways to utilise smaller railway stations near big cities to decongest the major railway stations.
“Of the total 29 question asked by me only 4 questions are unanswered”, said Arora in a statement here today. He added that the replies given to his questions are informative.
He further said he has also attended two-day orientation workshop for the new Rajya Sabha Members. There were a total 16 sessions in the two-day orientation workshop, which were addressed by 14 different speakers. “My attendance in these sessions was 100 percent”, he said, adding, “There were a few new Rajya Sabha Members, including me, who gave their cent percent presence in these sessions.” These sessions proved very beneficial to me, he said. He hoped that he would be attending future RS sessions with more zeal.
To a question, he told that attending the Rajya Sabha Session was a new experience for him. He said he would utilise this experience for further welfare of public in the State of Punjab. He added that he had got several new ideas for further development of Punjab and he would be definitely sharing these ideas with the development-oriented Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann in the near future.
