AAP ‘s Response to Sunil Jakhar’s Tweet on Drugs issue

Chandigarh, June 16, 2024: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) once again launched a scathing attack on BJP Punjab Sunil Jakhar for never questioning the BJP leaders for their anti-Punjab actions but instead boarding their train to defame Punjab. 

Reacting to one of Jakhar's statement on his X account, newly elected MP of Sri Anandpur Sahib and AAP Punjab's chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang reminded the BJP Punjab President that the illegal drugs reach Punjab from Maharashtra and Gujarat where there are BJP governments in both of the states. Kang said that it is the failure of the BJP governments as well as patronizing of the drug lords by the BJP that so much illegal drug is reaching India. 

Kang said that BJP always doing one thing or another to defame Punjab but it is saddening to see that Sunil Jakhar, who claims to be son of Punjab, is always giving statements against Punjab and never raising his voice for Punjab, its people and farmers. Why does not Mr Jakhar ask his government at centre, in Maharashtra and Gujarat about the surge in drugs, asks Kang. He further said that it seems that Sunil Jakhar seems to have forgotten that it was the BJP-SAD government who provided roots to drug mafia in Punjab.

Kang further said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is working since day one to eradicate this drug mafia from Punjab. He said that the multi-dimensional approach of the Mann government will ensure that the drugs are wiped off from Punjab and our youth will have bright and healthy future ahead of them.
