AAP state leadership conducts strategy meeting with office bearers, leaders and MC candidates
Party's state president Bhagwant Mann, Punjab in-charges Jarnail Singh and Raghav Chadha met stakeholders, analysed steps to strengthen party
Ludhiana: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab's leadership on Tuesday conducted a meeting with all the stakeholders of the party at Samrala in Ludhiana district, to discuss the upcoming strategy post the municipal bodies' elections held recently in the state and analyse steps to strengthen the party for the forthcoming assembly elections in 2022. A statement issued from the party said that all the office bearers, leaders and the MC candidates from the region were invited for the meeting and discussion was held to analyse the shortcomings and prepare a strategy to strengthen the party for the upcoming 2022 assembly elections.
The meeting was convened under the leadership of AAP state president and MP Bhagwant Mann, party’s Punjab incharge Jarnail Singh and co-incharge Raghav Chadha. The AAP said that the party was making all the efforts to build a stronger team for the upcoming assembly elections in Punjab. "The people of Punjab see the AAP as the only alternative and ray of hope that can bring about real change in the state. To meet their expectations, the AAP is making strategies to build an indispensable team for the upcoming assembly elections," said the statement. The AAP further said that the primary aim of the meeting was to meet all the stakeholders involved in recent local bodies’ polls and motivate them to keep fighting for the people of Punjab and for a progressive change that the state deserves.
The statement said that the AAP had contested the municipal bodies’ elections for the first time and had got a good response from the people. The AAP said that while in power, the traditional parties in Punjab did nothing for the people. “All the traditional parties of Punjab have failed to develop the state; they have failed to make the lives of the people better,” the party added. The AAP further said that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had failed to fulfil many of his promises and had failed as a CM. Also, various mafias operating in Punjab were plundering the splendour of the state. Under these circumstances, the AAP is seen as the only alternative to bring the real change and would create a stronger team.
