Jalandhar, February 23, 2015: An Inter –class badminton was organised by Commerce Forum in DAV College, Jalandhar under the kind stewardship of Principal B.B.Sharma. Classes from BCom (regular), B.com (professional), BBA, M.com participated in the tournament. Students were elated and energised for their respective events. All students displayed wonderful sportsmanship at the field.
In the singles boys category Abhinav lifted the trophy by beating Ashutosh in finals by 21-12 while Bhavika was chosen the best player in the Girls category. she beat Komal Bansal in finals by 21-10
In the doubles boys Category, Abhinav and Bhavesh were chosen the best team, they won the trophy by beating Ravjot and Kunal by 21-16 in finals, while Pankhuri and Komal were lifted the trophy under Girls doubles category after beating Bhavika and Parul by 21-19 in tough finals.
Mohit and Sahil played a wonderful role as Umpires.
Head of the department Prof Vijay Gupta, President of Commerce Forum, Prof Nidhi Aggarwal congratulated the students for making the event a success.
Principal Dr sharma congratulated the winners and all the participants or displaying the true spirit of sportsmanship and discipline in the field.
