A.C. Joshi Library, Panjab University, Chandigarh, today organised an author workshop today on the topic "From Draft to Publication: A Guide to Quality Articles." The workshop was held in collaboration with Wiley with the objective of guiding researchers on how to prepare drafts of their publications.

Chandigarh, December 12, 2024: A.C. Joshi Library, Panjab University, Chandigarh, today organised an author workshop today on the topic "From Draft to Publication: A Guide to Quality Articles." The workshop was held in collaboration with Wiley with the objective of guiding researchers on how to prepare drafts of their publications.

The workshop was attended by approximately 100 faculty members, library professionals, research scholars, and students.

PU Dean of University Instruction, Prof. Rumina Sethi, the Chief Guest at the event, delivered a motivating and informative talk in which she emphasized the importance of cultivating good reading and writing habits to prepare for quality publications. Prof. Sethi also shared her personal experiences of the research process, from the first draft to final publication.

Earlier, University Librarian Prof. Meenakshi Goyal welcomed the dignitaries and participants. In her welcome address, Prof. Goyal focused on the importance of quality and research in higher education. She stressed the need to publish in high-quality journals, maintain research excellence, and produce impactful publications.

Ritu from Wiley conducted the workshop and shared valuable tips and tricks for publishing quality articles. She also highlighted the benefits of publishing in open-access journals.

Mohit Pabby and Rishabh Bajaj elaborated on partnership opportunities with Panjab University. Dr. Jivesh Bansal, Deputy Librarian, provided a brief overview of the workshop, while Dr. Neeru Bhatia, Deputy Librarian, moderated the event effectively. Dr. Neeraj K. Singh concluded the session by presenting a vote of thanks.

The workshop offered a fruitful and enriching experience for all participants.
