ACS reviews status of social welfare, Post-matric scholarship for SC and other schemes
Also discusses implementation of PM Adarsh Gram Yojna and PMJAY in four districts
Ludhiana, January 8, 2023: Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Social Justice, Empowerment & Minorities Punjab, Ramesh Kumar Ganta on Sunday held a meeting with the officials of social justice empowerment and minorities department belonging to four districts including Ludhiana, Sangrur, Barnala and Malerkotla at Circuit House, here.
Ganta reviewed the status of various social welfare schemes, Post-matric Scholarship for SC, Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and others. He also took the notice of various complaints or issues regarding these schemes and directed the officials to resolve all such concerns in time-bound manner to facilitate the people.
The Additional Chief Secretary also asked them to accord topmost priority in effective implementation of these schemes to ensure the benefit of these schemes reach to grassroot level in the society. He said that Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was committed for the holistic development of the state by ensuring all beneficiaries of these schemes avail maximum benefit and none of them face any sort of problem.
