Chandigarh, December 15, 2015: With a view to protect interests of all sections of society and for welfare of unemployed citizens, the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court has set up an independent  Society for Centralized Recruitment of Staff in Subordinate Courts (S.S.S.C.)  to provide completely fair & transparent selection platform to all citizens under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Mr Justice Hemant Gupta, Judge, High Court of Punjab & Haryana.
 
The new office of the Society was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Shiavax Jal Vazifdar, Hon’ble the Acting Chief Justice, High Court of Punjab & Haryana today at Sector 17, Chandigarh in the presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Hemant Gupta, Hon’ble Mr. Justice S.S.Saron, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajive Bhalla, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Mahesh Grover, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sabina, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Jaspal Singh and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Surinder Gupta and Registrars of High Court.
 
The new office of the Society is equipped with Printing Room having latest high speed equipments, Evaluation Room, conference room & Record Room among other offices. 
 
Sh. Karan Garg, O.S.D., High Court of Punjab & Haryana, who is looking after the affairs of the Society, informed that the aim of the Society is to provide an effective, public centered, transparent selection mechanism for recruitment and training of staff in the Subordinate Courts of States of Punjab, Haryana and Union Territory of Chandigarh and staff in authorities of High Court of Punjab and Haryana as well as other offices/institutions.
 
The new Society would be in the interest and advantage of large number of aspirants who have to undergo various District-wise examinations for same posts which result in enormous loss of time, effort and money as also becomes cause of harassment for already necessitous & indigent job-seeking citizens. This Society with its commitment to use online measures & deploy ICT tools, will also provide every possible online assistance, support & information to citizens especially the youth through emails/SMS etc., who face lot of trouble in gathering vital information about recruitment drives and do not get any logistical support during such selection processes.
 
At this occasion a video presentation of the entire recruitment process was also made before the dignitaries.
 
At present, S.S.S.C. is undertaking  recruitment process of 408  posts of Clerks in District Courts of Punjab, 62 posts of Clerks in Haryana State Legal Services Authority and going to conduct recruitment processes of 157 posts of Stenographer Grade-III  and 424 posts of Clerk in District Courts of Haryana, shortly. S.S.S.C has introduced the concept of setting up Baggage and Mobile Phone Management Counters outside the examination centres, conducting frisking at every centre, capturing biometric impression of candidates and installation of CCTV Cameras at every entry/exit point of examination centers.
