Actor Ayaz Ahmed steps into the character of ‘Manas’ in Mehndi Wala Ghar
Sony Entertainment Television's family drama, ‘Mehndi Wala Ghar’, introduces viewers to Ujjain’s Agrawal family, touching upon the complexities of familial bonds and puts the spotlight on the consequences of drifting away from the joint family setup. In the ongoing track, viewers have witnessed how the Agrawals learn the truth about Mauli (Shruti Anand) and Manas’s (Ayaz Ahmed) relationship, leaving everyone shocked. As the story moves ahead, Akshay (Arpit Kapoor) will ask Mauli to leave the house as she is no connection with the Mehndi Wala Ghar. However, Janaki Maa (Vibha Chibber) will defend Mauli, asking her to stay back in the house and mend her relationship with Manas. But, with an ulterior motive in mind Manas, tries to impress the entire family to earn his share of the property, bringing in new twists and turns in Mauli’s life. Bringing the character of Manas to life is the talented actor, Ayaz Ahmed.
Shedding light on the ongoing track and the twists his character Manas brings to the show, Actor Ayaz Ahmed shared, “Manas is a man driven by his ambition and ulterior motives; and can go to any extent to get what he wants, even if it means betraying his family. While he is not a grey character, his actions may appear bold, but they are all in pursuit of the affection he believes his girlfriend deserves. Since childhood, Manas has observed Mauli receive support and appreciation from Manoj and now that she is with the Agrawal family, he feels insecure. Now that Janaki Maa has allowed him to return to Mehndi Wala Ghar, he sees an opportunity to impress everyone with his behaviour, fulfil his girlfriend's desires, and possibly hurt Mauli in the process. To prepare for this role, my director helped me bring out Manas's emotions. It’s an interesting character who brings in a lot of twists to the story and I'm excited for viewers to see if Manas will succeed in his goal or if the story takes a different turn.”
When asked about his off-screen camaraderie with his co-stars, Ayaz Ahmed says, “Working alongside Karan Mehra and Shruti Anand is an absolute delight both on and off-screen. Although our characters don’t share a good vibe on-screen, our off-screen dynamic is quite different. We constantly share jokes, laugh, and have a gala time between shots. Both Karan and Shruti are incredibly actors, and their dedication to their craft shines through in every scene. Shruti and I often indulged in small pranks on set. Despite the apparent on-screen animosity, we forged a genuine friendship and mutual respect off-screen.”
