ADAMPUR POLICE arrest two youth on charge of raping minor

Jalandhar, January 31, 2013:  Two youths were nabbed by the police on the charge of kidnapping and raping a minor class IX school girl.

According to the police sources, the accused were identified as Narpinder Singh @ Latta alongwith his friend Baldev Singh residents of Haripur village.

A minor and student of the IX, alleged in a statement before the Adampur police that when she was returning home from the school, Narpinder Singh lured and by force took her to his friend (co-accused) Baldev at some isolated place. He then shifted to her in a secluded room, locked by Narpinder Singh's friend thereafter he made physical relations with her by force, alleged the victim. She also alleged on raising alarm by her, the alleged accused thrown her out of the room.

Avtar Kaur, an inspector of police (Rural) said, the victim was shifted to the Adampur Civil Hospital where her medical examination was conducted. However the report of the medical examination is likely to arrive within a period of a week’s time.

Police have registered a case under various Sections, including 376 of the Indian Penal Code, on the basis of complaint and statement of the victim.
