Ludhiana, May 29, 2024: Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Anmol Singh Dhaliwal and Regional Transport Officer Randeep Singh Heer exercised their right to franchise through postal ballots at the facilitation centres. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner is a registered voter of Patiala district and Regional Transport Officer Randeep Singh Heer is registered voter in Jalandhar district. 

After casting their votes through postal ballots, Dhaliwal said that no eligible person should remain behind to cast his/ her vote in biggest festival of democracy and the target of 70 % polling in Lok Sabha polls can be achieved. He said that the district administration had made adequate arrangements to facilitate the voters. 

Urging people to cast their votes in large numbers to strengthen the democracy at grass root level on June 1, Regional Transport Officer Randeep Singh Heer said that the administration had set up 2921 polling booths to facilitate nearly 2689481 electors in Ludhiana district, including 1433062 males, 1256270 females, and 149 third genders.
