Ludhiana, August 14, 2024: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney, a team of district administration on Wednesday celebrated Independence day in Kusht Ashram, Islamganj on Wednesday.
Red Cross Society Secretary Navneet Joshi , District Social Security Officer Varinder Singh Tiwana and others held detailed discussions with the inmates to know about their urgent needs and problems. Those who were eligible for old-age pensions, filled their forms. Further on their demand, a camp for UDID cards and Aadhar update will be held in the Ashram soon.
Later, the team also distributed sweets/fruits among the inmates. The team assured that the administration is committed for the welfare of inmates.
