Rich tributes were paid to the great freedom fighters and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation at the District Administrative Complex, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal. 

Administration observes two-minute silence in memory of freedom fighters

Ludhiana, January 30, 2025: Rich tributes were paid to the great freedom fighters and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation at the District Administrative Complex, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal. 

All civil and police officials, as well as employees, paid homage to the freedom fighters and martyrs. Sirens were sounded at 11:00 AM, followed by a two-minute silence at 11:02 AM. 

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of feeling proud of our martyrs and urged everyone to actively contribute to fulfilling their aspirations. He noted that every citizen enjoys independence thanks to their sacrifices. On behalf of the district administration, he paid his respects to all martyrs and called upon officials, employees, and citizens to work towards realizing the vision that the martyrs had for India. 

Officials and employees from various departments were also present during the observance.
