Administration to launch special drive for updation of Aadhaar data

Ludhiana, August 30 - The administration will launch a special drive for updation of Aadhaar data in the Ludhiana with the district has been selected as a pilot for the exercise.
Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik while providing further details, said that keeping in view the importance of Aadhaar in public life, people must keep their UIDAI updated with the latest and correct demographic information. She said that in order to help residents on this account, the district administration along with UIDAI would begin a special drive for updation of Aadhaar data along with uploading of documents as proof of identity/address. She said that Ludhiana district in Punjab was chosen as pilot for which Aadhaar camps in coordination non- state registrars like CSE e-gov, BSNL, Department of Postal, Banks etc.
She said that instructions were issued to departments to prepare a comprehensive schedule to camps to ensure coverage of whole district. She said that proper awareness regarding the camps would be ensured so that maximum people could avail benefit.
