Advancement in villages will make India developed nation: Cabinet Minister Gurkirat Singh
Inaugurated the project of upgradation of a school in village Majri
Khanna (Ludhiana), December 20, 2021: It is rightly said that good education is the foundation of every strong nation which is what Cabinet Minister Gurkirat Singh firmly believes in. Keeping up with this belief, he today inaugurated the project of upgradation of a school in village Majri. This school was short of rooms and when approached by the village residents, Gurkirat Singh immediately got into action and initiated this project with the help of Chairman Block Samiti Khanna S. Satnam Singh Soni and member Block Samiti Khanna Master Sohan Singh.
In addition to the above project Cabinet Minister distributed funds worth Rs 22 lac which will be utilized for the renovation of Bazigar Dharamshala, Valmiki Dharamshala, and construction of a patio in crematorium at village Majri. Also, there was a major problem of drainage of waste water for which the work has been initiated in streets of village Majri.
Known for being a man of his word, the cabinet minister also inaugurated a couple of development works in the crematorium of village Libbar. These include construction of a proper road to the crematorium, a place to sit and a room. In addition, looking into the significance of the grounds in the towns and village, Gurkirat Singh also inaugurated the The individuals who extended help to the cabinet minister for this work include Zila Parishad chairman Yadwinder Singh Jandali, chairman market committee Khanna Gurdeep Singh Rasoolara, Sarpanch of Libbar Smt. Mahinder Kaur.
In his address at the occasion Gurkirat Singh stated that progress is complete when every step is taken with the people and for the people. “Villages are the backbone of our country and we can only dream of becoming a developed nation if we strengthen our villages in every possible way,” the cabinet minister added.
