After heavy rain there is a danger of spread of diseases in Ludhiana: BJGVJ

Ludhiana, September 25, 2018: The Bharat Jan Gyan Vigyan Jatha (BJGVJ) has warned that after heavy rain there is a danger of mosquito breeding and spread of diseases like Dengue, Chikungunya and Malaria. Dr Arun Mitra General Secretary BGJVJ said that People should take preventive measures. They should wear full sleeve shirts, cover legs, use socks. Use mosquitocidal sprays and mosquito repellents. Remove any item containing water in the house like coolers. Cover the ditches around and pore kerosene oil on them to prevent mosquito breeding. Administration should do fogging at war footing. Dry the ditches filled with water. Vehicles impounded by police lying at different places should be taken care of properly because water collected in them becomes potential source of mosquitoes.
