Dharamshala: Development works at Smart City Dharamshala will again gain a momentum after Lock Down. Smart parking will be constructed near the Dalai Lama temple in McLeodganj with a cost of Rs.5.53 crores, while a walkway will also be constructed at various places with a cost of Rs.62.99 lacks. This was announced by Dharamshala MLA Vishal Naharia on Friday, after  a meeting with Smart City Project officials in Dharamshala,  to give impetus to the development works under the Smart City Project .
“The works were reviewed  in the meeting, while plans are also made, how the works to be started in future. There will be a review meeting of the Smart City Project in Shimla on Saturday, in which I will raise all  the issues with Chief Minister Shri Jairam Thakur, “ said MLA.
 MLA Vishal Naharia  said  that under the projects of  Smart City Dharamshala, the work of Solar Roof Top, Smart Class Rooms, Smart Street, Dharamshala Smart City Website, e-Municipality, GIS Web Portal,  Sewerage Treatment Plant has already  been completed, with an  expenditure of 30.84 crores rupees.
He said that at the same time, eight projects starting with Rs 95.23 crore will start soon. This will include works of  parks and playgrounds, walking paths, Upgradation of Mountaineering Institute, digital payment system, construction of parking near Dalai Lama temple, LED based street lights, Ecco tourism through forest department.
