“Agaaz-E-Azal” organised with full zeal and enthusiasm at Lyallpur Khalsa College
The PG department of Computer Science & IT at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar organised an annual event "Agaaz-e-Azal". The event, aimed at fostering creativity and showcasing the talents of the students of Journalism and Mass Communication was marked by enthusiastic participation and a range of activities designed to highlight the diverse skills of the young journalists.
Jalandhar, October 8, 2024: The PG department of Computer Science & IT at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar organised an annual event "Agaaz-e-Azal". The event, aimed at fostering creativity and showcasing the talents of the students of Journalism and Mass Communication was marked by enthusiastic participation and a range of activities designed to highlight the diverse skills of the young journalists.
The event was inaugurated by the College Principal, Dr. Jaspal Singh, along with Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Head of Department and Prof. Sandeep Bassi. Speaking on the occasion Principal emphasized the importance of such events in providing a platform for students to express their creativity and hone their skills in journalism and mass communication. He congratulated the students for their efforts in organizing the event and encouraged them to continue pursuing excellence in their chosen fields.
Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Head of the Department spoke about the significance of 'Agaaz-e-Azal' in promoting cultural and intellectual engagement among students. He highlighted how the event provides an excellent opportunity for students to explore various facets of journalism, from writing and reporting to broadcasting and digital media.
In this event focused on the theme of Journalism and Communication, students participated in a variety of contests, including News Writing, Photography, News Reading, and Radio Jockeying.
Prizes were awarded to the winners by the Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh and Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand who congratulated the winners and encouraged all participants to continue striving for excellence. The vote of thanks was delivered by the student representative. Present on the occasion were all the teachers and students of the department.
