Aggarwal Sabha  presents Rs 2 lakh as aid for J&K Flood Victims

Chandigarh, September 26, 2014: Aggarwal Sabha, Sector-30, Chandigarh presented a cheque for J&K flood victims to Kirron Kher, MP Chandigarh. While welcoming Kirron Kher the Sabha’s office bearers presented a cheque of Rs 2 lakhs for J & K Relief Fund to her.

It was also informed that the Aggarwal Sabha, Chandigarh plans to mark Agrasen Jayanti by giving to society a Gift of Life- Blood. The highlight of the Jayanti will be a mega blood donation camp at the Aggarwal Bhawan located in Sector 30, Chandigarh, which would be inaugurated by Justice Surinder Gupta, Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court. In this, Aggarwal families and volunteers from all segments of society would participate. Apart from the blood donation camp the Chief Guest would distribute certificates to students of computer courses and stitching centre, being run by the Sabha. According to Prem Chand Gupta, President, Aggarwal Sabha, Chandigarh, “The Sabha organises many socially beneficial initiatives. We have in keeping with our ethos of social welfare contributed with financial aid for relief operations in J and K.  Now we will be conducting a Blood Donation camp which will start at 9 AM on September 28.”

Sunil Gupta, General Secretary, Aggarwal Sabha, Chandigarh would read out the annual report of the Sabha in which all activities conducted by the Sabha in the past one year would be enumerated. It is also planned to honour city’s well-known entrepreneurs, social workers and bright students on the occasion. 

The Aggarwal Sabha has been contributing with material help during natural disasters and the gesture towards J and K was a step in this direction.
