Agri Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian visits eminent Punjabi writer Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill to inquire his well-being

Punjab Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian visited Ludhiana on Saturday to check on the well-being of the esteemed poet and Chairman of the Punjabi Lok Virasat Academy, Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill.

Ludhiana, April 12, 2025: Punjab Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian visited Ludhiana on Saturday to check on the well-being of the esteemed poet and Chairman of the Punjabi Lok Virasat Academy, Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill. 

Prof. Gill, who had served at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, for nearly three decades, recently underwent knee surgery. 

During the visit, Minister Khuddian wished Prof. Gill a speedy recovery and also engaged in extensive discussions about Punjab, the Punjabi language, and the Agriculture department. He praised Prof. Gill for his valuable advice and expert suggestions, which have consistently supported him in his work. 

The Cabinet Minister recognized Prof. Gill as a champion of Punjab, Punjabi culture, and Punjabiyat, acknowledging his significant contributions to academia, literature, and agriculture.

Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister for this gesture. 

During the visit, Prof. Gill presented a copy of his book, Charkhdi to the Cabinet Minister.
