Agriculture Minister Prof Chandra Kumar gave instructions to speed up works to make Kangra tourism capital of state
Agriculture Minister Prof. Chandra Kumar said that it is the resolve of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu to develop Kangra District as the tourism capital of the state and the works announced by the CM should be given priority. He told this to the officials of Kangra district at Dharamsala on Friday.
Dharamshala, March 31, 2023: Agriculture Minister Prof. Chandra Kumar said that it is the resolve of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu to develop Kangra District as the tourism capital of the state and the works announced by the CM should be given priority. He told this to the officials of Kangra district at Dharamsala on Friday.
He said that the Chief Minister has expressed commitment to make the state a green state, for this, 93 places have been identified for setting up charging stations for electric vehicles in district Kangra. He instructed the officials of the Transport Department to move fast in this direction.
He directed to make two heliports at Dharamshala and Palampur in tourism capital district Kangra on priority basis.
Prof. Chandra Kumar said that a beautiful ashram would be built for the destitute at Majheen in Kangra district. He informed that 125 kanals of land has been selected in Majheen for its construction. He instructed the administration to complete this work at the earliest.
Apart from this, he also put on the ground works related to Kangra Airport expansion, Golf Course, Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School, Tourism Village, Convention Centre, Ice Skating Rink, etc. He especially mentioned a Zoological Park which has to be built in Bankhandi and development of tourism activities in the Pong Dam area. Inquired about the situation regarding land selection, preparation of DPR and various permissions and other formalities.
On this occasion, MLA Shahpur Kewal Singh Pathania, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal, Superintendent of Police Kangra Shalini Agnihotri and district officers of all departments were present.
