Air Force Day celebrated

Ludhiana, October 8, 2012: 80th Air Force Day was celebrated at Air Force Station Halwara, today. 

The Air Force Day celebrations were spread over one week with variety of activities which ensured involvement of every personnel and the families. 

The Air Force Day celebrations kicked off with a basket ball match, this was followed by cultural programme, healthy baby show, interactive sessions between officers and airmen and static display of equipment for the families of Air Force personnel. 

The celebrations culminated with wreath laying, today.

A get together of Air Force Officers was also organised on the occasion.

On this special day, the messages from President of India, the Vice President of India, the Prime Minister of India, the Raksha Mantri of India, the Raksha Rajya Mantri, the Chief of Air Staff and Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Air Command were read out and the personnel led by the Air Officer Commanding, Air Cmde RGK Kapoor rededicated themselves to serving the nation and upholding the finest traditions of the IAF in the year ahead.
