Jalandhar, October 9, 2012: Air Force Station Adampur celebrated 80th Air Force Day, yesterday.
To mark the occasion, Air Commodore M Fernandez, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Adampur paid a tribute to all those martyr, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of nation during various wars, by presenting a wreath at Station War Memorial, Air Force Station, Adampur.
An oath taking ceremony was also organised on this occasion wherein all the station personnel took oath to serve the nation with devotion and integrity.
Various functions were celebrated during last forthnight to mark the 80th Air Force Day at Air Force Station, Adampur viz Static Display, Painting competition for children, Healthy Baby Show, Mini Marathon and Cycle race etc.
Air Commodore M Fernandez, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Adampur and Vaneeta Fernandez, President, Air Force Wives welfare Association were present on the above activities and competitions who gave away the prizes to the winners of all above competitions.
