Akali politics in Delhi/Delhi president of Maan Dal joins Shiromani Akali Dal


Sukhbir Singh Badal, President Shiromani Akali Dal welcoming Sansar Singh into party folds at New Delhi.

New Delhi/Chandigarh, November 23, 2013: The Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) today got shot in the arm as Delhi State President of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann Dal) Sansar Singh joined the party along with his supporters in the presence of party President Sukhbir Singh Badal.
Sansar Singh was Delhi state President of Mann Dal since 2008. He has contested Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee elections 2013 on Mann Dal ticket. This was said to be major boost to Hari Nagar candidate of Shiromani Akali Dal Shyam Sharma as Sansar Singh has a mass base in the area.
Welcoming Sansar Singh and his supporters into party folds, Sukhbir Singh Badal said that people were joining Shiromani Akali Dal as party was more sensible to issues of common masses and its leaders were more accessible and easily approachable than any other party. He assured Sansar Singh that party would give him and his supporters due respect in the party. He said that induction of Sansar Singh and his supporters in the party would strengthen the party in the Hari Nagar constituency.
Committing to work with their full strength to ensure the record victory of SAD-BJP Candidate, Sansar Singh said that he and thousands of his supporters would guarantee record margin victory of Shyam Sharma. He said that he and his supporters joined Shiromani Akali Dal as they were very impressed by pro people policies followed by SAD-BJP alliance in Punjab and they were confident once elected to power alliance would apply same policies in Delhi too.
Prominent amongst others Balwant Singh Ramoowalia, Senior Vice President SAD, Gursewak Singh Jawaharke, Gurpreet Singh Jhabbar, member SGPC and Charanjit Singh Brar, advisor to Badal were also present on the occasion.
