AKALI SARPANCH behind murdering girl

Ferozepur, February 5, 2013: The Ferozepur Police have booked Akali Sarpanch Surjit Singh  of Jallo Ke also known as Gatti Rahime Ke in the case of Gurmeet Kaur, who eloped in 2008 and her dead body was found floating in the Sutlej. 

According to the crime report released by the SSP, Ferozepur, a case under sections 302 and 201 IPC was registered on July 28, 2008 on the complaint of deceased’s brother Shingar Singh for keeping the girl in alleged illegal custody and thereafter eliminating her and managing a false marriage in the court with Shingar Singh’s brother Jaswant Singh resident of Selbra (Bahtinda).

According to the police, the girl’s body was identified by her father and other family members.
