Dr. Charanjit Singh Atwal, Speaker, Punjab Legislative Assembly honoured Peter Sandhu, MLA, Alberta, Canada with shawl and Photo of assembly.
Chandigarh, December 18, 2012: Dr. Charanjit Singh Atwal, Speaker, Punjab Legislative assembly today extended warm welcome to Peter Sandhu, Member of Legislative Assembly, Alberta, Canada, who was here to witness the second day of winter session of the Assembly.
While speaking with the media, Sandhu said that India is one of the oldest and biggest democracies of the world. He said the proceedings of the assembly are similar to that of Canada’s.
Sandhu further said that the relation between India and Canada are cordial. He expressed hope that the NRI conference would pave way for the confidence building in NRIs and more and more expats would invest in Punjab.
Dr. Atwal also presented a memento as a token to love to Sandhu.
