ALERTNESS: Road Safety Awareness Rally taken out


A Road Safety Awareness Rally being taken out at Ludhiana on Friday.

Ludhiana, November 16, 2012: A Road Safety Awareness Rally was organised today in the memory of Photo Journalist Aditya Jaitly and noted comedian Jaspal Bhatti on the eve of Global Remembrance Day of Road Accident Victims by Lions Club International.

Hira Singh Gabria, former Minister Punjab paid tributes to the departed souls and appealed the public to follow traffic rules so as to avoid accidents.  He appreciated the initiative taken by Lion Gurpree Khangura, Chairman Zone-III to aware the public about road safety. 

Er Baljinder Singh and office bearers of Lions Club International, Lion Harish Dua, Yogesh Soni, Rakesh Mehta, Sanjeev Sood and Jagdev Singh flagged off the rally in which students of Industrial Training Institute, Ramgarhia Senior Secondary School, Dashmesh Senior Secondary School and Dashmesh Public Senior Secondary School took part. 

Students marched with banners and mottos about road safety and traffic rules in their hands. Rally concluded at Bhagwan Chowk where speakers addressed the masses and appealed to obey traffic rules so as to avoid accidents.

NCC Officers Baljinder Singh, Davinder Singh Lotey and Rai Singh, Principal Jaswinder Singh, Vijay Kumar Jolly, Anil Jaitly, Jatinderpal Pal Singh, Gurcharan Singh Channi and Surinder Singh were also present.
