Ludhiana, December 20, 2021: Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Electoral Officer (DEO) Ludhiana Varinder Kumar Sharma today directed heads of all government departments in district Ludhiana to send vaccination details of their staff to the DEO office, failure to do would attract departmental action.
The DC also directed the officials, who are either to get themselves vaccinated or their second dose is due, to complete the process immediately as they would be deputed for election duty.
The Deputy Commissioner today said this while chairing a meeting of Nodal Officers of election related committees at Bachat Bhawan, here today.
This meeting was attended by ADC (D) Amit Kumar Panchal, MC Additional Commissioner Aditya Dachalwal, ADC Khanna Sakatar Singh Bal, ADC Jagraon Dr Nayan Jassal, Civil Surgeon Dr SP Singh, senior police officers, besides nodal officers of various election related committees.
While chairing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that all officials should take election duty seriously and no lapse at any part would be tolerated. He asked all nodal officers to complete all paper work on time and depute officials so that the election related duties can be discharged properly.
He also directed the Civil Surgeon to depute vaccination staff at election trainings, so that officials, who could not get themselves vaccinated, can avail this facility.
