All set for state level function in Isru on August 15 to mark martyrdom day of Shaheed Karnail Singh Isru

Issru (Ludhiana), August 9, 2023: MLA Khanna Assembly Constituency Tarunpreet Singh Sond today informed that a state level function would be held by Punjab Government in village Issru on August 15 to mark the martyrdom day of great martyr of Goa's freedom movement Master Karnail Singh Issru.

He further mentioned that during the event Punjab Chief Minister will offer flowers tribute to the martyr Master Karnail Singh Issru. Cabinet ministers, MLAs and other prominent personalities would also participate in the event to pay tributes. 

MLA Khanna further clarified that on the directives of Chief Minister, the event would be held in a simple manner and no political rally would be held adding that Punjab Government was committed to spending people's money on quality education and other development works. 

Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Surabhi Malik along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Khanna Paramveer Singh and S.S.P. Khanna Amaneet Kondal reviewed the preparedness and issued directions to several departments for adequate arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the event. 

Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Malik said on this occasion that for the organization of the state level event, the seating arrangement of the participating Sangat will be made at village Issru and other proper arrangements will be made keeping in mind the summer season. 

She said that proper sitring arrangements for this event has been made in view of heat and humid weather while duties have been assigned to paint the statue of Shaheed Karnail Singh Issru. She also informed that adequate security arrangements will be made by Khanna Police for this state level event. 

During the event, officials of police department were also entrusted with the responsibility of preparing the helipad, parking besides ensuring smooth conduct of traffic. She said that the duties of the officials of the electricity department have been assigned to maintain uninterrupted supply of electricity. 

On the occasion Director Sugar Mill Budhewal Hakam Singh Nasrali,  Jagtar Singh Ratanheri, senior officers of various departments were also present.
