What is fitness for you?
Fitness means being healthy and physically fit. It does not only mean to have a good body and built up muscles but how active you are throughout your day. It is more important to ensure you overall well-being, which will ultimately help you carry out the day’s activities without undue fatigue.
What’s your fitness mantra?
Eat healthy, sleep early and no matter what, exercise for at least half an hour a day. Following this makes me fresh for the day and active enough to carry out the daily activities without lousiness.
How do you keep your mind and body fit?
I exercise, because when you exercise you always live the present without thinking about your past or future. And that’s the way to keep your mind and body fit. Meditation also helps a lot in maintaining a strong and health mind, passing those benefits to the body as well.
In your hectic routine, what are the little things you ensure to practice/ do to maintain a healthy life?
I make sure I eat five small meals in a day, which is very necessary. I also carry some fruits and dry fruits with me to my work so I can munch them on at the time of small hunger breaks. I don’t drink soft drinks at all and try to eat less junk food as well. These little things help me maintain my good health even when I have a hectic work schedule.
Your favorite healthy snacking on-the-go items, what do you munch on?
Protein chocolate and peanut butter with bread make the perfect snacks.
One thing you that you can’t resist.
It is extremely hard for me to resist Gajar Ka Halwa made in Desi Ghee, by my mom and grandmother. I just dig into it whenever it is made and cheat on my diet.
Fitness tips to your viewers.
I would suggest everyone to eat healthy food for at least 5 days a week, drink loads of water and have plenty of fruits. Also, most importantly, exercise for at least half an hour every day. A fit body and a fit mind will boost your personality and your confidence a lot. Take that first step today!!
