Ludhiana, March 20, 2025: MP (Rajya Sabha) Sanjeev Arora has written to Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains requesting for Allotment of Parking Space for Shree Durga Mata Mandir, Civil Lines, Ludhiana.
Arora who personally handed over letter to the Minister mentioned that he has received a representation from Shree Durga Mata Mandir Trust, Civil Lines Ludhiana, regarding the pressing need for parking space for the devotees visiting the Mandir. The Mandir attracts over 10,000 devotees daily and exceeds 50,000 on Sundays/Tuesdays and festivals, leading to significant traffic congestion in the area.
Additionally, the Mandir operates a charitable hospital providing multispecialty OPD services to around 200 patients daily, further contributing to parking challenges. In light of this, the Trust has requested the allotment of parking space for 200 vehicles in the grounds of Government College for Girls, Ludhiana.
MP Arora said that given the critical importance of this matter for the convenience of the public and the smooth functioning of both the Mandir and the charitable hospital, he urged the Minister to consider this request positively and expedite the necessary permissions.
