Amalgamation Of Music And Melody at Ivy World School

Jalandhar, August 27, 2016: Music and melody were brought together in a beautiful way at Ivy World School to bring talent from all over the city to the fore front of recognition. Ivy World School, Jalandhar organised Sur Sangam, the musical extravaganza to give a common platform to young singers and musicians from different schools of the city. This was an important step by this premier institution to merge education with culture for the overall development of our students. The day was filled with Devotional, Social, patriotic which were the themes that the teams performed on. The audience was moved by the musical strains of the instruments and the melodious voices of the participants.
The function was judged by eminent personalities of the music world Mr. Sanjeev Kumar and Prof. Sukhdev Singh. The worthy winners were given prizes. The first prize in Group Song Category was bagged by DIPS (Urban Estate); second prize went to Mayor World School, Jalandhar; while the third prize went to Sanskriti K.M.V,Jalandhar.
The first prize in Western Solo Song Category was won by Mayor World School,Jalandhar; second by DIPS(Mehatpur) and the third by Gems Cambridge(Hoshiarpur).
In the Overall Trophy Category first prize was won by Mayor World School, Jalandhar. Sh. Sanjeev Kumar Vasal, (Chairman, VES Schools) given the cash prize of Rs. 2000 to student Rajbir of Mayor World School for his great performance. Mrs. S.Chauhan (Principal, Ivy World School) congratulated the Students over their stupendous performance and motivated them to scale higher echelons.
