Amanjot of GNGC as captain of Indian Baseball Team

Ludhiana, September 15, 2016: It is a moment of great pride for Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, Ludhiana and to the entire nation as its star Baseball Player Amanjot Kaur of M.A.(History) Semester-3rd returns her homeland after representing India as the Captain of Indian Baseball Team at Women Baseball World Cup held at Gijang, South Korea from 3rd September – 11th September, 2016. In total 18 Great Nations of the World like United States of America, Japan, Canada, South Korea etc. took part in this championship. It is an indescribable joy that few others can equal as this young and passionate player has several feathers to her cap. An ace player, she has headed twice as the captain of Punjab Baseball Team at Senior National Baseball Championship and has won 3 Gold Medals for consecutively three years at Senior National Baseball Championships held at Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka in 2014, 2015 and 2016 respectively. With just a small association of eight years with the game, Amanjot has humongous laurels to her credit. Her accomplishments are a win not only for the institution but also for the entire nation and give all Indians a great sense of achievement and gratification.
