Chandigarh, February 28, 2014:  Ambassador of Czeck Republic Miloslav Stasek today called on Shivraj V Patil, the Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh at Punjab Raj Bhavan and evinced keen interest in the areas of Solar Energy, Education, Food Processing Industry and in Auto-Parts.
Discussing all the issues at length Patil said that Punjab was famous in the field of Agriculture because of very fertile land, availability of water and hard working farmers, but now they were thinking to develop in the area of industry. He said India is doing well in Auto-Mobile Industry and also exporting auto-parts. He said we were telling auto part industry to develop technology to manufacture carburetors and other auto parts which can consume less fuel. We have also been telling them to use solar energy and bring battery driven cars on the road. He said if both the countries join hands in this area then there would be lots of scope in further development and cooperation. He said we are trying to concentrate on Solar Energy   that is going to be source of energy in future. He said that Universities and laboratories of the world should join hands and develop new technologies and share them.
