Amend rate of GST from 28pc to 18pc on parts of 2 wheelers, 3 wheelers, buses and trucks spares: Subhash Bajaj
Writes to Union Finance Minister
Ludhiana: Federation of Auto Parts Manufacturer Association, Ludhiana chairman Subhash Bajaj has written to Union Finance Minister stating that being the Chairman of Federation of Auto Parts Manufacturer Association, Ludhiana, he has requested earlier that the rate of GST may kindly be reconsidered on Automobile components.
He further stated that there is a big confusion when we discussed about Auto Parts. “Regarding this, I would like to submit that we are not to consider the Auto Parts only Car Parts, whereas 2 wheeler, 3 wheeler and Buses as well as Trucks & Car parts are to be considered for common man utility as well as for BPL”, he said, adding, “It is my submission to please look into the matter deeply.”
If we discussed about 2 wheeler and 3 wheeler, let us consider the BPL (below poverty line) people who go from home to railway station/ Bus Stand and from Railway station/Bus stand to home the transportation is 3 wheeler, which means the poor/common man transportation and on that GST @ 28% is being charged, whereas the Modi Govt. is looking after the interest of poor common man.
He added, “Now I come to the next Bus service which is being used by the general people including BPL. The transportation from one city to other city is also poor man transportation and GST @ 28% is being charged on the parts of Buses.”
adding, he said, “Now we come to the transportation of the eatable goods may be wheat, rice and vegetables. The transportation of these things is also sort of utility by the common man and 28% GST is being charged on the parts of Truck/Bus spares.”
He further wrote, “Please note the Car parts may not be considered only Auto Parts. The bear & tear in car parts is only 5% as compared to Buses, Trucks, 3 wheelers, etc.”
Further, he stated that being the President of North India Chamber of Exports, Chairman of Ludhiana Auto Dealer Association, Federation of Auto Parts Manufacturer Association and Patron of FAIASPDA (Federation of All India Auto Spare Parts Dealers Association, Delhi), it is his humble & humble request to please look into the matter as now the present Indian Govt. is taking special care of common/poor man people.
“If your goodself look into deeply my request, then I am sure your goodself will amend the rate of GST from 28% to 18% on the parts of 2 wheelers, 3 wheelers, Buses & Trucks spares.”, he said, adding, “It is also my request that 80CC limit may also be extended upto Rs.1.50 Lakh.”
Concluding he said, “I hope, your goodself will consider the need of common man and the heavy burden on the common man may be reduced, i.e., GST from 28% to 18%.”
